Bamboo

I try not to buy things I don't need.  Recently, I closed down my business in an effort to get back to art.

Originally, I had gone to school to become a painter.  I am not particularly gifted with a brush, so I eventually landed in the darkroom.  I loved photography, and I still do, but I still love to doodle, too.

I shot a wedding not too long ago, so I had a little more cash than usual.  I decided to buy myself a birthday present, and splurged on the Bamboo Capture tablet!  I then spent my holiday weekend figuring out the hand-eye coordination.  I still have a TON to learn (and it turns out Photoshop CS5 is WAY different than my old 98 version, which is REALLY annoying), but I am loving it!

All I've really done so far as glorified tracings of images of friends and family, but it's been a blast!

I also have a Facebook page for my artsy stuff!  You can like me HERE!

I hope all you States folks had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend; and everyone in general had a lovely weekend!  Summer is definitely arriving here on the East Coast!

  2. Hello!

This is Brittany from Miss Yellow Shoes.

Would you be interested making a craft post for the month on July? I'll be crazy busy with wedding things, so I need crafty bloggers to "take over" and show off their skills.

Just shoot me an e-mail at Brittany_Girr@hotmail.com if you’re interested!
